Of the dozens of books that I have read, the ones below are at the top of my list. If you have Chronic fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease, or an unknown chronic illness, these books are not to be missed.Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / Fibromyalgia

On the general topic of chronic illness, my favorite book by far is "From Fatigued To Fantastic"
When I first became ill in 1997, "From Fatigued To Fantastic"
was not available in its current expanded format. The original version did not contain the same wealth of information as the current one. At that time, Alternative Medicine magazine had published a great book which was letter re-released as "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Lyme Disease". It was a godsend and even today is an excellent resource.

Of the many books I have read on the topic of Lyme disease, there are many that I found to be quite helpful. I first started off with "Everything You Need To Know About Lyme Disease" to get a basic understanding of the disease itself. I then started to read treatment-related books such as "Healing Lyme"
For those interested in more alternative treatments, one of the interesting options is Rife machines. This is expertly covered in "When Antibiotics Fail: Lyme Disease and Rife Machines". Another excellent book on rife and frequency healing is "The Rife Handbook".
Of all the books I have read, one of my favorites is "Healing Lyme"
An excellent book on the co-infection Babesia is "The Diagnosis and Treatment of Babesia". The same author has written a helpful book on Bartonella entitled "Bartonella Diagnosis and Treatment".
In early 2007, Bryan Rosner's second book "The Top 10 Lyme Disease Treatments" was released and contains a collection of great information. Later, "2008 Lyme Disease Annual Report" was released.
In 2008, Ken Singleton, MD, released his book titled "The Lyme Disease Solution"
"Cure Unknown" is a popular Lyme disease book which looks inside the history of the epidemic.
Other exciting Lyme books in 2008 include: "Lyme Disease Survival Guide", "Lyme-Autism Connection", and "The Experts of Lyme Disease". In "The Experts of Lyme Disease", a summary of my early radio show interview with Sue Vogan is included.
In 2009, "Insights into Lyme Disease Treatment" was published. I particularly like the opportunity this book provides to see how 13 different practitioners approach treatment.
In 2010, Dr. Nicola McFadzean, ND wrote a comprehensive book on dietary considerations in Lyme disease called "The Lyme Diet". The book is packed with tons of critical information. Without addressing the diet, most of us with Lyme will not get well.
Mold and Biotoxin-Mediated Illnesses

One of the books that I read later in my understanding of Lyme Disease and neurotoxin-mediated illnesses was "Mold Warriors"
Other books on the topic include "Mold Illness and Mold Remediation Made Simple" and "When Traditional Medicine Fails: Your Guide to Mold Toxins".
Digestive Disorders / Parasitic Infections

In terms of books on digestion and the many disorders that can occur, "Optimal Digestive Health" is by far the most comprehensive that I have read. For specific details on parasitic disorders, both "The Parasite Menace" and "Guess What Came To Dinner" have provided me with valuable information.
Detoxification / Immunity
"Detoxification and Healing" and "The Road to Immunity" are both excellent. I especially liked "The Road to Immunity". It contains a wealth of information and I highly recommend it. "Detoxify or Die" is a good read on the topic of detoxification, a critical element of any well-planned treatment protocol.

Multiple Sclerosis

I believe that Multiple Sclerosis is often undiagnosed Lyme disease or induced by other infectious agents. "Healing Multiple Sclerosis" is an excellent book that covers many possible causes of Multiple Sclerosis as well as offering treatment options.
Autism

It is my strong belief that if one understands and can treat autism, Lyme disease is a subset of the complexities of autism. In many cases, autism is in part due to infection with Lyme disease. Issues such as heavy metal toxicity are involved in both disorders. I have started reading books on autism in order to more fully understand the complex nature of diseases caused by a combination of infections and toxins. "Healing the New Childhood Epidemics: Autism, ADHD, Asthma, and Allergies"
Bryan Rosner and Tami Duncan collaborated on "Lyme-Autism Connection" which is a good read for those that do not yet understand that there is a likely connection between the two disorders.
Patient Empowerment

In 2008, Tedde Rinker, DO wrote "Renegade Patient". This is an excellent book for patients that need to learn how to manage their own healthcare. It empowers patients to manage their own healthcare journey and not to get derailed by doctors with big egos.
"The Hidden Story of Cancer" is an interesting book on Essential Fatty Acids and Parent Essential Oils (PEOs). "The Autoimmune Epidemic"
was first recommended to me by Dr. Garry Gordon. It is a great read and helps us to understand the impact of toxicity in chronic illness. Dr. Gordon also suggested "Beyond Antibiotics" which is on my counter and to be read shortly but a quick glance looks promising. "Achieving Victory Over A Toxic World" is full of remarkable facts about toxicity that we are exposed to on an ongoing basis and how to deal with them. Lastly, "Lessons from the Miracle Doctors"
is a fantastic overview of how to improve our health in general and the many causes of chronic health problems.
